The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women is recognized on December 6th each year to remember those who have experienced gender-based violence and those who we have lost to it. Flags in Mountain View School Division will be lowered to half-mast on this day.

If your family is interested in purchasing Voluntary Student Accident Insurance, which provides enhanced accident coverage for accidents and benefits beyond that of the Universal Student Accident Insurance held by the School Division or through a parent/guardian’s benefits plan through their employer, please click on the above link for more information.

The Mountain View School Division Board of Trustees approved an annual divisional plan for the 2023-2024 school year. This Plan is an interim plan, as the Board of Trustees is mid-way through a planning process which aims to develop a new multi-year plan, shaped by the engagement of the Board with all of its communities. November 8 is National Indigenous Veterans Day, a time to honour the contributions of all First Nations, Inuit and Métis Veterans who have served and those who continue to serve Canada.

Tuesday, October 10, 2023 is World Mental Health Day. There are many changes and struggles occurring in the world today that affect all of our mental health. It is important for us to ensure our youth have access to mental health supports.
Mountain View School Division is working collaboratively with Kids Help Phone (KHP). KHP is the only national 24/7 e-mental health services organization that provides supports for children and youth through texting and phone services.
