It is with a sad heart that I express my condolences to the family and friends of our MVSD Indigenous Elder Bev Harvey on behalf of the Board of Trustees and Senior Administration. It was heartbreaking to learn of her passing just over one week ago. Elder Bev was much loved by the students and staff of MVSD and she will remain forever in our memories and hearts.
Elder Bev was a key member of our own Umbay Nagamon Team doing the difficult but necessary work of Reconciliation which she had been doing in the capacity of Divisional Elder since 2017. Our Umbay Nagamon Team will be in attendance to represent MVSD at Elder Bev’s funeral on Wednesday April 12th at 11:00 a.m. in Mistwasis First Nation in Saskatchewan.
